Snoring Cure – Therapy Through Herbal Solutions

Author: Diana Mortenson

If your partner or spouse has snoring problems, a snoring cure should be applied before this can complicate matters in your relationship. Constantly waking up at night due to the noise can be unhealthy and can deprive you of good rest. In the long run, it can hurt your marriage or relationship.

If your spouse is a snorer, consider sleeping ahead of him. Or else, you will end up listening to his snores as you twist and turn in bed having difficulty catching a good sleep. For some, even if they sleep earlier than their spouse, it remains useless as the heavy snores will wake them up in the middle of an otherwise peaceful sleep.

If this happens daily among many couples, it can signal a broken relationship. However, there are ways to remedy snoring problems. These depend on how severe the snores are. There are several remedies that are readily available over-the-counter. Although not all were proven to work, some may actually show to be effective. Most of these solutions are not expensive and they effectiveness is based upon tendency to open nasal passageways for normal breathing during a sleep, reducing congestion and lubricating throat, tongue and uvula. For those who want a natural snoring cure, herbal remedies are an option.

Snore M.D. is one among many other herbal remedies. Its formula consists of natural enzymes and herbs proven by researches to treat snoring symptoms. This is an all-natural product that has a high safety profile and does not have unpleasant side effects.

Various herbal snoring cures are available in the market and online. Here are some of them;

1. Goodnight Stop Snore Spray

This is made up of a mixture of 4 natural oils and vitamins E, C and B 6. Its effectiveness is proven many times and a lot of people are recommending it to individuals who are encountering problems about snoring.

2. Snoreless

This is a popular brand for snoring cure. It is made up of almond oil, olive oil, sunflower oil and eucalyptus oil. Other components are vitamins B 6, C and E.

3. Snore Calm Herbal Spray

Its active ingredient, Euphrasia prevents the palate from vibrating and creating sounds. It is also used for treatment of certain eye problems. Therefore, using it would be like catching 2 birds with just one stone.

4. Herb China 2000

This company specializes in providing combination of frequently used herbs for specific health condition. Every order includes detail description of each ingredient mixed for suggested recipe and preparation instruction.

Herbal remedies may prove to be promising treatments for snoring problems. Although not all people may respond to them, such snoring cure may create significant improvement to some extent.

How Can I Stop My Sleep Apena?

Author: Patricia Woloch

The most commonly prescribed treatment for diagnosed sleep apnea is the CPAP machine. CPAP stands for ‘continuous positive airway pressure’. The sleep apnea patient wears a specially designed mask when sleeping that uses pressure to send air flowing through the nasal passages. The influx of air keeps the throat from collapsing during sleep and allows the patient to breathe freely without stopping. CPAP minimizes or eliminates snoring so your partner can also get a better night's rest, and other effects of sleep apnea, such as nasal dryness, headaches and irritated eyes can be reduced or eliminated. Many people find the CPAP difficult to use. With time and patience, however, today’s lighter, quieter CPAP machines have helped thousands of sleep apnea sufferers end their symptoms and sleep peacefully again.

Other treatments include specially designed dental devices that prevent airway obstruction, anti-snoring medications and surgery to prevent obstruction in more severe cases.

Dental Appliances

Most dental appliances are made from acrylic and fit inside your mouth like an athletic mouth guard or braces. Some appliances fit around your head and chin to help reposition your lower jaw. All dental appliances are designed to open your airway, bringing your jaw or tongue forward during sleep to reduce obstruction. Unfortunately, individuals suffering from more severe forms of sleep apnea cannot find relief with these devices.

Side effects from dental appliances include:

• Mouth soreness

• Permanent changes or damage to the jaw, teeth, or mouth

• Build up of saliva

• Nausea

Anti-Snoring Medications

Specialized medication may help curb the effects of sleep apnea or complement more aggressive treatment options when taken before bedtime. Natural plant enzymes and herbs reduce congestion and swelling in the nose and throat and minimize snoring. Special nose drops or nasal sprays, and aromatherapy, have proven beneficial.

Surgery

Surgery can increase airway size by surgically removing excess tissue inside the nose or back of the throat, and may include the removal of tonsils and adenoids. The jaw may be reconstructed to enlarge the upper airway. Surgery certainly carries risks, but for some, this is the best option.

There are things you can do at home to help alleviate your symptoms:

• Avoid alcohol

• Avoid sedatives

• Experiment with sleeping in a new position

• Strategic use of pillows may help

• Lose weight

• Eat a low fat diet

At home remedies are never a substitute for proper medical care.

Why Suffer While Snoring Relief is Knocking at Your Door

Author: Wangeci Kinyanjui

When you're awake, air flows freely through your breathing passages. But at night, nasal passages become restricted and throat muscles relax, making it harder for air to pass through.Snoring affects 50 million - more than half - of all U.S. households.Snorers and bedmates of snorers alike can take comfort in knowing that relief is as close as the cough/cold aisle of your local retail store. You may need to first try either the nasal strip, then the spray/rinse solutions. Or you may need to use both together to get maximum results. Don't give up until you've explored all the Breathe Right snoring solution options.

Some people tend to snore when they breathe through their mouth while sleeping and their tongue is incorrectly positioned within the oral structure, effectively blocking their airway.Avoid alcohol or sleeping pills. This will distract your breathing passage and cause snoring. Avoiding alcohol will ultimately stop snoring. Obesity is another important cause for snoring.Losing the over weight can stop snoring. If you have any allergies like dusts, pets etc then removing such allergens will help you stop snoring. Allergies always cause breathing troubles and snoring. Some simple exercises like stretching and walking can control snoring.Smoking may cause snoring.Stopping smoking habit will help you to get rid of snoring.

Having ear plugs that are effective and comfortable that give you Snoring relief is very essential for both you and your partner.I know what you want is,"artificial deafness!" However, the best you can get with ear plugs is a reduction in sound level of about 33dB,since even with your ear canals completely blocked, the bones in your head will conduct sound to your inner ear. Still, even very loud snoring rarely exceeds 85 db, which can be reduced to around 62 db. That means you would still hear sound at about the volume of a normal voice during the most intense snoring, but softer snoring would be reduced to a very quiet whisper. In many cases, that much reduction will be enough to allow you to sleep soundly.

If your bed partner snores, you have five choices, suffer with it,change your sleeping arrangements, try to make the snorer stop, use ear plugs yourself or try white noise masking.Researchers find that inserting three matchstick sized pieces of polyester material in the upper palate is a simple, low cost, and easily tolerated office procedure that provides effective snoring relief. In a stress filled society, sleep is precious. When your partner or roommate has loud and habitual snoring, finding an effective, minimally invasive and cost-effective treatment becomes critical.

Recently there has been introduction to a new palatal implant system designed to achieve palatal stiffening without tissue damage and volume reduction. This system reduces snoring through placement of permanent implants, which cause fibrosis and submucosal scarring in a single procedure. The implant itself is a segment of braided, polyethylene terephthalate (PET), which has a long history of human implantation.Advantages of this system are expected to be low morbidity, simplicity and low cost.

These implants offers a new philosophy of stiffening the palate to reduce snoring and in return have some Snoring relief. This procedure causes virtually no tissue damage and the implants serve as a template for fibrous ingrowths. No mucosal breakdown, palatal swelling, discomfort or fistulae, as reported for radiofrequency and injection snoreplasty. You can also get ortho dental anti snoring appliance from a dentist. This will help you to stop snoring by applying the dental guards which help to stop mild snoring that occur due to jaw placement and in return will offer you snoring relief

How To Stop Snoring - Natural Remedies For Snoring

Author: Diana Mortenson

Never was a question as important as keeping a relationship strong as this one: How to stop snoring? You’d never believe how something seemingly innocent and natural occurrence such as snoring could put a strain to one’s marriage or – for students sharing a dorm room—friendship. If you are one of the thousands who are looking for a snoring cure, you will be surprised that in some cases, you don’t need medicine. Sometimes, a change in your lifestyle may just do the trick.

Knowing the solution how to stop snoring could really be something that could make a difference in a relationship. Imagine having to wake up and find your spouse grumpy for no apparent reason. If this happens every day, it could put a stress to your marriage. Worse comes to worst, you would need to see a marriage counsellor only to find out that the reason for your spouse’s being grumpy is her or his lack of sleep – and that lack of sleep is caused by your snoring!

If this is the case, below are just some of our suggestions for you to learn how to stop snoring, and give your spouse, and you, that restful good night’s sleep:

• Stay healthy by losing weight. You don’t need to be middle-aged to start growing sideways. Even if you’re young, if you don’t watch what you eat and you don’t exercise, you will become overweight. Moreover, regular exercise and proper diet are two of the many ways how to stop snoring.

• Avoid too much alcohol before sleeping. Alcohol relaxes the muscles of the body more than the normal state of relaxation. This causes the back of your throat to collapse and partially block your air passageway. If you are looking for solutions on how to stop snoring, better stay away from alcohol.

• Don’t smoke. Smoking is definitely out in our “how to stop snoring” list. It does not only irritate your spouse and make the room reek of tobacco odour but also smoking can induce swelling of your air passageways which can cause them to constrict and in effect provoke you to snore. Don’t smoke and you make your spouse doubly happy.

• Avoid sleeping pills and sedatives. These could cause the tissues and muscles of your throat to relax thus making them droop and block your air passageways. You may be able to sleep with these but your spouse would stay awake with your irritating snoring extravaganza.

• Tennis. While playing tennis is a good way of keeping fit (which is one way how to stop snoring) you don’t need to be Andre Agassi to stop snoring. You could use a tennis ball, or your wife’s ball of knitting yarns, and sew it at the back of your pyjama top. This is a way how to stop snoring: you sleep on your side. And the tennis ball sewn on your back – your pyjama tops - could stop you from rolling back on your back.

Each of the above recommendations could be a good snoring cure, but there are instances that you may need more than a simple change in lifestyle. A brief visit to your family doctor could help you find the best solutions and lead you to better ways that could help you learn how to stop snoring.

Snoring Solutions – Natural Solutions to Stop Snoring

Author: Diana Mortenson

We appreciate the slew of different suggestions for snoring solutions that can be found on the internet nowadays. However, word of caution: not all of these snoring solutions can be applicable for everyone. Snoring problems could be a symptom of different causes and, therefore, each unique case would need a specific snoring cure.

Below is a short list of probable snoring solutions, but then again, take note that you have to find the cause of your snoring problem first so you will know which specific snoring cure would best solve your particular problem:

Cause 1. Partial blockage of the air passageway in the nostril

Possible Snoring Solutions

Nasal strips. This is a good snoring cure. You tape one of these nasal strips to your nose to widen the opening while you sleep. It may seem funny to you but who's looking? If you have a roommate or a spouse, he or she will be more than happy to welcome those nasal strips than to be constantly disturbed at night and kept awake by your irritating snores.

Peppermint mouthwash. How is this included in snoring solutions, you may ask? If the partial blockage of your nostril is caused by colds or allergy, gargling with a peppermint mouthwash shrinks the swollen tissues in your nose and throat.

Keep your sleeping area fresh and clean at all times. Always have fresh pillowcases and sheets, and vacuum your bedroom floors or carpets and curtains more often. These are great snoring solutions for those whose snoring problem is caused by swollen airways by freeing your bedroom from pollen, dust, and other allergens.

Drink tea before bedtime. As one of the recommended snoring solutions for this particular cause, drink the nettle tea kind that you can buy from your local herbal shop. This concoction does not only give a soothing effect and relief from inflammations caused by allergies from pollens and dust, herbal teas are also believed to have a calming and relaxing effect if drank before sleep.

Cause 2. Partial blockage of air passage in the throat

Possible Snoring Solutions

Extra Pillows, or buy a bigger one. Lying flat on your back could give you a bad head-neck posture that can block the air passage in your throat. Lying on your back, with soft pillows could make your throat tissues collapse downwards, and this could result to partial blocking of the airways. A simple measure as elevating your upper torso when you sleep could greatly help.

Raise the upper part of your bed. You can do this if you are alone in your bed This does the same snoring cure as the one above this suggestion.

Sleep sideways. This relieves the tissue pressure and prevents it from collapsing.

Sew a tennis ball at the back of your pyjama top will force you to sleep on your side. Sleeping on your side is one of the easiest of the snoring solutions we have but if this is difficult to follow, a tennis ball on your back could make lying on it uncomfortable, right?

Just like in any other symptoms of other ailments, it would be very prudent for you to find out the cause of those underlying symptoms before deciding on a relief. A visit to your doctor would be the best first single step at finding the best snoring solutions.

Can Cpap Help Me?

Author: Patricia Woloch

Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) is the "gold standard" of treatment for patients with sleep apnea. The CPAP machine works by using pressure to send air flowing through the nasal passages, keeping the throat from collapsing during sleep—the main reason why individuals with sleep apnea stop breathing periodically throughout the night.

Why is this important? Most of us are aware that a good night’s sleep is essential. REM Sleep, the time during sleep when we dream, contributes to overall health and proper body function. But during a sleep apnea event, the individual leaves REM sleep many times throughout the night to restart his or her breathing. The result is a lack of deeply restful sleep that seriously affects the body's ability to function.

There are three different types of CPAP machines:

• CPAP: delivers one continuous air pressure

• APAP: adjusts to your need for oxygen by starting out at low pressure, senses raising the pressure during a sleep apnea event

• BiPAP: uses a higher pressure when you inhale and lower pressure when you exhale

CPAP cannot cure sleep apnea, but it does alleviate symptoms such as:

• Snoring

• Nasal dryness

• Headaches

• Irritated eyes

• Daytime fatigue

• Weight gain

• Changes in mood

• Driver impairment

Unfortunately, getting used to sleeping with a mask on your face and air flowing down your nasal passages is not the easiest thing to do. Some patients decide they cannot get used to CPAP and eventually abandon the machine. Although this can be a serious health mistake, here are some of the reasons why patients feel this way:

• CPAP is highly successful when used properly, but many patients have trouble complying with its usage. Only 23% - 45% of patients have success.

• When used as directed, the CPAP success rate is nearly 100%! Unfortunately, CPAP is difficult to stick to, since the individual must commit to wearing a mask over the nose and mouth every night.

• The mask should be worn all night. Some wear if for 4 hours or less each night and never reap the complete benefits.

• Face breakouts, eye and nasal irritation, mouth dryness, runny nose and sore throat can all be side effects of CPAP.

• Patients with allergies, ‘mouth breathers’, and patients who sleep on their stomachs may find CPAP difficult to use.

Patients who have decided CPAP is not the right treatment for them frequently benefit from alternative treatments, such as oral appliance therapy.

Quick Ways to Get Some Snoring Relief

Author: LISA DAVIES

There is probably nothing in the world quite like a good night's sleep. We look forward to it at the end of a long, hard day, and feel amazingly refreshed after we've had it. Not only does sleep make us feel good, we need it for our health and even for our lives. But if you're sleep is being interrupted by the annoying habit of snoring, relief may be a bit easier than you think. Of course some cases should be addressed by a doctor and in certain circumstances extreme snoring or loud, gasping breaths may be the sign of something more serious, but for most you can some snoring relief just be making a few adjustments to your sleeping arrangements.

Sometimes snoring relief is as easy as adjusting the temperature and humidity of your bedroom. When the air is very dry, the throat tissue and membranes become dry as well and this causes or increases snoring. There have been many that have found putting a good humidifier or warm mist vaporizer in their bedroom can give them a tremendous amount of snoring relief. Many vaporizers also have a place where you can add some medicine or inhalants, such as menthol or eucalyptus. This type of material also provides snoring relief because it opens up the nasal passages.

When your nose and sinuses are clogged, you are more likely to breathe through your mouth which is what causes snoring in the first place. There are also many sounds that a clogged nose makes when you breathe that we refer to as snoring, even though this is not technically accurate. However, whatever words you want to use and whatever sounds you're hearing because of labored breathing at night, you may find that a good humidifier or vaporizer, especially one with a mist feature, can give you a tremendous amount of snoring relief.

You may also find that propping yourself up just a little bit can give you some snoring relief. When you're sleeping on your back you may find that your head has a tendency to fall backwards and your mouth falls open. This too causes snoring. Even if your room is warm and humid, the air passing over the throat tissues and membranes causes them to dry out and you begin to snore. While there are many snoring pillows available on the market, sometimes just a regular pillow that is a bit firmer than usual can give you some snoring relief. If you want to keep yourself from sleeping on your back, try a few pillows propped up behind your back and one hip. This can keep you from rolling over in your sleep.

Some have found that using some natural oils under their nose or on their chest brings them some snoring relief. Eucalyptus and menthol are two good choices. You can usually find these at any pharmacy or health food store. Just by touching a few drops to your chin or chest, you can keep your sinus passages open all night. Some have also found that marjoram oil works well, although you don't usually apply this to your skin. Marjoram oil is typically sold in jars and you simply open the lid at night and leave it open next to your bed. The aroma fills the room and provides snoring relief all night. It will eventually evaporate so you may need to purchase a new supply every month or so, but this is probably a small price to pay for such reliable and downright enjoyable snoring relief.

If none of these remedies work for you, it's time to consult your doctor for long-term snoring relief.

Home Remedies To Avoid Snoring

Home Remedies For Snoring Relief

Author: Jonathan Higgins

There are many home remedies for snoring relief that you can try to break that annoying nighttime habit. Even if your snoring problem is not serious, it could be keeping the one you love awake at night. Or, if you live in a dormitory situation, others around you may be having some troubles sleeping.

One of the best home remedies for snoring relief is to sleep on your side. There is a possible solution if you fall asleep on your side but then shift to your back while sleeping. There are some special pillows or other contraptions that can keep you on your side. Do some searching online and you will come across these products.

Another of the home remedies for snoring relief is to avoid alcohol or any other medication or drugs that cause to relax. Alcohol and medication cause the muscles in the back of your throat and neck to relax, thereby narrowing the hole in your throat and causing you to snore.

If your snoring is the result of you being overweight, then snoring isn't really your problem. Your weight is the problem. Furthermore, your weight is bringing more grief than just snoring. If you are overweight, then you are also at risk for a whole bunch of other conditions like diabetes and heart trouble. You'll be fighting an endless battle if you try to attack all these symptoms of your obesity one by one. Focus your fight on losing weight instead. Not only will your snoring go away, but you will lower your risk for dozens of other conditions. If you are obese, then losing weight is by far your best home remedy for snoring relief.

Do you smoke? If yes, then quit. This could be the cause of your snoring. And like losing weight, there are a million other benefits to quitting smoking now. Not to mention, smoking is so expensive these days. If you have young children or grandchildren and you started today putting the amount of money you spend on cigarettes into a college mutual fund for them, there would be more than enough money to pay for their college tuition by the time they got there. This should give you some pause. Not only that, but it's the home remedy for snoring relief that you are looking for.

Finally, raising the head is a good way for some to stop snoring. In fact, there are special pillows you can purchase to raise the whole torso. This is extremely successful for many people. However, I suggest that you first experiment that raising the torso will work for you before you spend money on one of those pillows. They can be a little expensive.

I would always recommend that someone who snores try all possible snoring remedies before they resort to something like surgery. In fact, most snorers don't have a serious problem. Signs that you should probably see a doctor are waking up gasping for air, or feeling really tired at work or waking up with headaches. If your snoring isn't that serious, then you should try the various home remedies for snoring relief.
